Position Summary

We’re not looking for someone who just builds courses.

We’re looking for a Learning Experience Designer who understands modern learning and is looking to be a disruptor in the learning space.

You’ll help shape how thousands of RPM associates learn, work, and build the skills they need to succeed. You’ll turn complex business problems into experiences people actually want to use, whether that’s a 60-second video, an interactive experience, a simulation, a job aid, an AI-powered learning experience, a digital adoption moment, or an eLearning course.

You’ll be part designer, storyteller, technologist, experimenter, and problem solver. You’ll use modern learning design, emerging technology, and visual storytelling to move quickly from idea to prototype to launch. You’ll challenge "we need training" when training isn’t the answer and find smarter ways to remove friction from the learner experience.

This is a role for someone who is curious, creative, and energized by figuring out what’s next. Someone who can take a blank page, a complex business problem, and SME content and turn it into something clear, useful, and engaging.

Responsibilities

  • Design what’s next. Create modern learning experiences across short-form video, microlearning, interactive learning, simulations, eLearning, live learning, job aids, and performance support.
  • Solve the real problem. Partner with business leaders and SMEs to understand what associates actually need to know, do, and apply, then determine the right solution.
  • Make complex simple. Transform systems, processes, and role expectations into clear, practical experiences that help associates build confidence and capability.
  • Create content people want to consume. Use visual storytelling, video, interaction, elearning and short-form formats to make learning engaging, memorable, and easy to apply.
  • Leverage Technology. Use industry leading tools, Generative AI and effective prompting to accelerate ideation, research, scripting, content creation, visual development, automation, and rapid prototyping.
  • Prototype, test, repeat. Experiment with new approaches, gather learner and stakeholder feedback, use data to understand what works, and continuously improve.
  • Enablement-First Mindset: A deep understanding of how to solve tangible business problems through technology and workflow-embedded interventions rather than strictly content delivery.
  • Partner boldly. Work closely with SMEs, business leaders, technology teams, and L&D to turn ideas into scalable learning experiences.
  • Own the work. Lead projects from discovery through launch, balancing priorities, timelines, stakeholders, and multiple projects at once.
  • Keep pushing. Stay curious about what’s happening across learning, AI, technology, content, and UX, and bring ideas back to RPM that can make our learning ecosystem better.

Education and Experience

  • We’re open to varying experience backgrounds that translate to supporting adult learners. Examples include experience in multimedia development, instructional design, learning experience design, digital learning, content design, marketing, communications, enablement, or a related field.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates how you think and create, not simply how many eLearning courses you can build is preferred. We want to see variety, creativity, strong visual communication, and thoughtful use of technology.
  • Experience creating digital learning experiences across multiple formats, including short-form video, microlearning, interactive learning, eLearning, simulations, performance support, or similar solutions.
  • Strong visual storytelling and the ability to turn complex information into simple, engaging, actionable experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience using Generative AI and prompting to accelerate creative and learning design workflows.
  • Strong instructional design and adult learning fundamentals.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and experiment with new tools and technologies.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to move multiple projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, learning experiences, and stakeholder conversations.
  • Ability to use data, feedback, and experimentation to continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Experience with tools such as Articulate 360, Synthesia, video editing platforms, WalkMe, 360Learning, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Experience supporting frontline or distributed workforces, technology implementations, or business process changes is a plus.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
