Position Summary

The Investment Associate will play a key role in evaluating and supporting the acquisition of multifamily properties for the company's growing portfolio. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Associate to join our fast-paced investment team in Austin, Texas. This role will support both investor relations and investment operations, offering exposure to multiple facets of commercial real estate. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. This individual should be a proactive self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team, and who brings strong interpersonal skills, a high level of accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Prior experience in private equity, multifamily real estate, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of the firm’s investor relations strategy, including investor onboarding, communications, reporting, distributions, and responding to investor inquiries with a high level of service.
• Maintain and update investor-facing materials, CRM systems, and internal databases
• Assist in managing the firm’s transactional pipeline and related workflows
• Support new investments through entity formation, EIN/tax ID procurement, and organizational chart development and maintenance – among other things.
• Assist in reviewing tax, insurance, and title/survey materials for new acquisition opportunities, as needed
• Contribute to the preparation of investment marketing materials for both internal and external use
• Coordinate with third-party partners, including lenders, legal counsel, and other service providers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Legal, and Management teams
• Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and operational support as needed
• Effectively communicate and interact with senior leadership

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with InDesign, Yardi, CRM platforms, or other real estate software is a plus
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is an in office role based in Austin, Texas, requiring the associate to work in our corporate headquarters 5 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
