The internship program will run from Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, August 5. Interns must be available to participate for the full duration of the program.

 

Position Summary

The Corporate Marketing Intern position provides college and university students with the opportunity to support large-scale corporate event planning and national marketing initiatives through different department-specific research, projects and learning activities. This internship requires superior project management skills, big-picture strategic thinking, detailed research and reporting, and the ability to align cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow different sub-department leaders in all areas to include Events, Corporate Marketing, Account Management, Brand/Creative, Communications, and more
  • Completes department-specific weekly assignments and projects to gain a better understanding of the various functions within the business, with primary focus on event production, experiential branding, promotional products/swag trend forecasting and sourcing, and national marketing campaign development
  • Participate in department meetings and assist with different department projects
  • Attends internship meetings hosted by the Internship Liaison and Associate Experience team
  • Participates in varying department projects and meetings, including administrative tasks, audits, data collection, research, and preparation of reports or presentations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn departmental workflows and assist with ongoing initiatives across the organization
  • Completes a final program assessment/evaluation with the Director of Onboarding and Integration
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, or other relevant college or university degree program
  • Ability to work in the office five days per week efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable leveraging Microsoft Excel for data compilation/research and comparison reporting

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is an in-office role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 5 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises, and distractions.
