Position Summary

We are looking for an organized and creative Videographer to work with our creative team to plan, film, and edit video content. The ideal candidate will be a creative and skilled videographer who can manage projects from concept through post-production. The Videographer's responsibilities include ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use, coming up with creative concepts, directing and operating equipment and editing film footage. A background in real estate is preferred but not required. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the marketing team to storyboard, determine content and format of productions
  • Produces, edits and distributes media content as required which may include photographs, motion pictures, motion graphics, animation, audio and music
  • Executes and manages shoots on-site/on location including lighting, audio, camera operation and talent direction
  • Additionally, handles assignments requiring special lighting, multiple locations, creativity, special audio needs, custom graphics, and animation
  • Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material creating compelling and visually interesting products; observes brand standards, ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of end product; creates photo galleries and slideshows with audio
  • Writes and produces photographic or video narratives; recommends, determines and procures type of talent needed for acting and/or voice-over work
  • Conducts interviews and ensures that valuable sound bites are captured
  • Scouts shoot locations and assesses possible obstacles in filming and provides solutions or alternatives
  • Owns and maintains all equipment in proper working order including troubleshooting and minor repairs as necessary
  • Attends meetings and offers development and production insight based on the requests
  • Film videos on set or on location
  • Plan the shoot with the creative team and the client
  • Edit footage in post-production
  • Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university or college, or a relevant industry certification, or a combination of education and experience may be substituted with supervisor’s approval
  • 5 year(s): Videography, photography, multimedia editing, and motion graphics experience

  • Prior experience working in a PC environment

  • 5-7 years of relevant work history required
  • Experience in operating SLRs (single lens reflex), video cameras, EFP, sound recording equipment, composing sequential shots, and editing
  • Experience with digital workflows for images and videos
  • Knowledge of live-streaming platforms
  • Must be able to manage time/priorities and multi-task to handle both long-term projects and those that require quick or aggressive turnarounds
  • Willing to work overtime, evenings, holidays or weekend hours in order to complete assignments

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in our Austin office 3 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
