The internship program will run from Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, August 5. Interns must be available to participate for the full duration of the program.

Position Summary

The Procurement intern position provides college and university students with an overview of Procurement operations
that support our business through projects, assignments, and learning activities. This specific internship
allows the intern to work with several members within Procurement throughout their time with RPM
Living, where they’ll gain valuable insights into procurement practices across multiple category strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow different department Associates in all areas to understand property procurement
    category and sourcing strategies covering Maintenance, Repair, & Operational (MRO),
    Flooring, Staffing, General Construction, Roofing, Valet Trash & Waste Services, Telecom,
    Corporate Procurement sourcing initiatives, and more
  • Completes department-specific weekly assignments and projects to gain a better
    understanding of the various functions within Procurement
  • Participate in department meetings and assist with different department projects.
  • Attends internship meetings hosted by the Internship Liaison and Procurement team
  • Participates in varying department projects and meetings, including administrative tasks,
    market research, data collection & analysis, and preparation of reports or presentations
  • Completes at least one project to be finalized by the end of the internship
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant college or university
    degree program
  • Ability to work in the office five days per week efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is an in-office role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 5 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
