Position Summary

The Onboarding & Integration Associate plays a critical role in shaping the beginning of every associate’s journey at RPM Living. This role supports the design, implementation, and execution of initiatives that deliver a scalable, high-impact onboarding experience that reflects RPM’s culture, values, and vision, ensuring new associates feel informed, connected, and inspired from day one.


Acting as a collaborative partner across teams, this role contributes to strategic initiatives, process improvements, and stakeholder engagement that enhance the overall associate onboarding experience by fostering belonging, accelerating engagement, and supporting RPM Living associate’s long-term success. The associate is expected to manage key responsibilities independently, including program coordination, data analysis, and the development of communication strategies that strengthen associate experience, culture and connection across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the enterprise-wide onboarding strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational culture, values, and business objectives
  • Support the day-to-day execution of the onboarding programs that enhance new hires experience and early connection to the RPM culture
  • Manage pre-boarding tasks and communications that build excitement for joining RPM and introduces new hires to our culture in a meaningful, welcoming way
  • Lead the administration of the intern program, creating a culture-rich experience that helps interns feel included, inspired, and connected to our mission, values, and teams
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape and elevate onboarding touchpoints, influence process design and ensure smooth handoffs across HR, L&D, Operations, IT, and TA
  • Help coordinate onboarding orientation for transitions and acquisitions
  • Provide input to onboarding guides, templates, and digital resources for managers to help new associates feel informed, supported and engaged from their first day
  • Create and standardize onboarding frameworks, curricula, and process documentation, including manager toolkits, learning pathways, pre-boarding workflows, and cross-functional onboarding resources
  • Support the upkeep of SOPs, workflows, and internal process documentation related to new hire experience
  • Design and facilitate onboarding-related training, such as manager readiness sessions, orientation content, and culture engagement modules
  • Administer and track 30/60/90-day surveys and summarize insights for leadership
  • Monitor onboarding completion, identify trends, and suggest improvements
  • Reinforce culture touchpoints throughout the new hire experience
  • Help coordinate connection activities and welcome moments that build early engagement
  • Assist with scheduling, onboarding events, orientations, and related logistics

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years’ experience in designing, developing, and implementing strategic people programs, preferably in onboarding, culture, or associate experience
  • Knowledge of associate experience and engagement strategies, including best practices onboarding and internship programming
  • Skilled in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Skilled in organization and time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Skilled in building and fostering relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders in a dynamic, matrixed organization
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve complex problems while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically with a focus on enhancing the associate experience through engagement initiatives and problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate offices three or four days per week, based on the manager’s discretion
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises, and distractions.
