Position Summary

The position: The Resident Services Coordinator assists the Community Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of an apartment community, or communities, with resident relations issues, performances a variety of administrative/clerical duties, and has primary responsibility for any resident concerns being addressed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the resident experience.
  • Responsible for resident communications including monthly newsletter.
  • Maintain awareness of the property competitors and contribute ideas to the Community Manager to improve resident retention and satisfaction.
  • Contact and follow up on renewals, new residents, and work orders.
  • Create a renewal program to optimize lease renewals and decrease resident turnover.
  • Create ideas for marketing and events and assist in successful execution of these events.
  • Plan and host activities for residents, which may include afterschool programs, health care services as well as social events.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies as needed.
  • Develop and execute strategies for optimizing online reputation and resident satisfaction surveys in accordance with goals set by Community Manager.
  • Oversee the home ownership incentives, if applicable.
  • Oversee various common areas including the computer lab, if applicable.
  • Manage the resident assistance referral programs and crisis intervention, if applicable.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school GED; or one to three years of related experience
  • Knowledge of property operations, marketing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of principals and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products of services; this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, planning and organization, and coordinator of people and resources.
  • Skilled with computer hardware and software including, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and industry specific software
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time
  • May be required to climb stairs
  • May be required to bend, stoop or kneel
  • May be required to push or pull
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer

Work Environment:

  • This is an onsite role which requires the associate to work at the property five days a week
  • This role may require work in an open office setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
  • This role may require working outdoors with exposure to the elements
  • This role may require work outside of normal hours for property events
