The position: To be successful as an SEO specialist you must be willing to keep abreast of industry innovations and trends. A good SEO specialist values quality content as well as technical insight to optimize the website for search engines.

As an SEO Specialist at RPM Living, you will get to do more than just implement keywords into a website. You will be responsible for the overall search strategy in ensuring good organic traffic and exposure for our property websites.

Responsibilities

  • Update existing content to include more keywords
  • Create quality content
  • Research keyword trends
  • Analyze site analytics to gauge which areas of the site have more traffic
  • Monitor search algorithms set by search engines to keep up with changes in the SEO landscape
  • Develop and integrate content marketing strategies
  • Use social media to distribute content and encourage external sites to link back to the site of the organization
  • Drive traffic to the website through effective link-building
  • Employ user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization methods to turn visitors into more active users
  • Continually check search terms, rankings and analytics to monitor the performance of websites and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Knowledge of SEO practices

  • Familiarity with google analytics and other analytic tools

  • Familiarity with SEMRush

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 3 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
