The Position: The Client Services Analyst is responsible for financial modeling, investment due diligence, and supporting the Business Development team. This role requires independent judgment and analytical expertise in evaluating investment opportunities, assessing property performance, and supporting client service initiatives. The position involves working with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and support business development effort.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform excel-based underwriting for existing and future multifamily properties
  • Undertake research and analyze data garnered from industry sources and internal/external benchmarks
  • Work closely with the Client Services team in analyzing assets of interest
  • Conduct thorough research on local and national real estate trends, leveraging industry sources, CoStar, Yardi Matrix, and other market intelligence platforms
  • Interpret economic and demographic data to assess long-term market viability for investment properties on behalf of multiple current and potential clients
  • Verify property financials, operational assumptions, and market comparables to ensure accuracy in underwriting
  • Identify potential investment risks related to operational inefficiencies, regulatory compliance, and economic shifts
  • Assist in the creation of marketing material for potential management assignment

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics or a related field. Experience may substitute for education
  • Experience in real estate underwriting, investment analysis or Multifamily asset management
  • Knowledge of real estate financial statements, pro forma modeling, and market research tools
  • Knowledge of real estate investment strategies, property due diligence, and financial risk assessment
  • Knowledge of property operations, leasing strategies, and expense management
  • Skilled in Word, Excel and Outlook as well as property management specific operating systems (Yardi, SalesForce, etc.)
  • Skilled in evaluating, modeling, and underwriting multi-family investments a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to report financial analyses in concise written and verbal formats
  • Ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates, owners, and clients
  • Ability to proactively address business and project issues, identifying solutions and escalating when necessary
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of responsibility and initiative in executing tasks and driving projects forward with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in analysis and applying reasoning to interpret data, assess trends, and support strategic decision-making

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions
