The Position: The Senior Graphic Designer will create engaging, on-brand visual concepts that support the organization’s business objectives and property-level marketing efforts. In this position, the graphic designer will develop the overall layout and production design for a variety of applications for traditional and digital media. 

Responsibilities

  • Display an elevated level of graphic design expertise and proficiency
  • Daily responsibilities include the conception, development, and design of a variety of marketing collateral and digital design including, social media images/posts, flyers, brochures, e-mail templates, HTML templates, internal branded templates, internal presentations, website assets, signage and other materials
  • Managing a high volume of creative service requests, traffic status to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Organize files, photos, and all collateral produced or received
  • Analyze and plan the framework of design according to the laid-out concept and established specifications of the project
  • Delegate job responsibilities among junior team members and oversee that quality work is being completed within the deadline
  • Oversee that new techniques and processes are used to provide best quality of designs.
  • Train and mentor junior designers and entry-level entrants
  • Suggest new ways of improving the quality of designs and other project issues
  • Effectively manage the overall visual creative design, photography, copywriting and production across all traditional and digital media
  • Ensure community and company brand individuality, excitement, impact, and accuracy in all marketing materials
  • Collaborate with the SVP of Marketing to maintain and develop the graphic design strategy for the department
  • Review all creative materials before they are finalized to ensure quality control and brand standards are met

Qualifications

Education & Experience:​

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Proficient in HTML
  • Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management, Adobe
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Edit & color-correct images in Photoshop
  • Prior experience working in a PC environment

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week.
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
