The position: RPM Living is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Analysis, Client Services, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for financial modeling, investment due diligence, and supporting the Business Development team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills. The department is very entrepreneurial in nature and will provide an opportunity to create value and grow professionally with a large national organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform excel-based underwriting for existing and future multifamily properties

  • Undertake research and analyze data garnered from industry sources and internal/external benchmarks

  • Work closely with the Client Services team in analyzing assets of interest

  • Lead by example for the rest of the analyst team

  • Work closely with the Director of Analysis on additional projects to benefit the team

  • Assist in the due diligence review process

  • Assist in the creation of marketing material for potential management assignments

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor or Associates degree in management of finance
  • 2+ years of commercial real estate analysis experience
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook as well as property management specific operating systems (Yardi, SalesForce, etc.)
  • Prior experience evaluating, modeling, and underwriting multi-family investments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report financial analyses in concise written and verbal formats
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates, owners, and clients
  • Handle business and project issues proactively and escalate appropriately
  • Typing and data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • High degree of responsibility and initiative
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Ability to have flexibility with working schedule based on business and deadline needs that may be other than Monday-Friday, 8-5
  • Work in excess of 40 hours per week is likely

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week.
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
