With a current investment portfolio of over 24,000+ units and a robust acquisition pipeline, we are actively looking for a new Asset Manager to join the Investments team to oversee a portfolio of owned assets.

 

The position: The Asset Manager is responsible for the strategic operational oversight and financial performance for a portfolio of RPM owned assets.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of a portfolio of assets, to include:
  • Financial reporting and analysis to monitor property performance.
  • Identification of property-level and market trends and formulate strategies to maximize the value of each asset in accordance with its business plan.
  • Develop and maintain effective revenue strategies to strengthen revenue performance of assets across diverse markets.
  • Diagnose and respond to inquiries from senior leadership and external partners regarding property performance, market challenges, occupancy issues, and other drivers of asset financial performance.
  • Partner with, assess, influence and performance manage operational teams within the assigned portfolio.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to assess performance, evaluate market conditions, and establish strategic initiatives.
  • Review marketing programs and pricing for portfolio assets.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports for equity partners.
  • Perform cash flow analysis and generate distribution recommendations.
  • Monitoring the status of renovation and capital improvement projects and perform return on investment calculations.
  • Assistance in preparing construction budget and management of construction draws from debt and equity sources.
  • Loan compliance and administration.
  • Assistance with acquisitions, recapitalizations, and dispositions within the portfolio.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or other quantitative field preferred
  • Minimum two years’ experience; prior multifamily asset management or finance roles required.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week.
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
