Position Summary: The Human Resources (HR) intern position provides college and university students with an overview of HR through department specific projects, assignments, and learning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Shadows department leaders in all areas of HR, to include: Engagement, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Talent Acquisition Operations, Employee Relations, Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, HR Operations, and Corporate Administration.
  • Completes department specific weekly assignments and projects to gain a better understanding of the various functions within the HR department.
  • Participates in learning activities through department meetings and associate interviews that provide an overview of department roles and responsibilities.
  • Attends internship meetings hosted by the Internship Liaison and corporate executive team.
  • Participates in company-wide projects and meetings to include: Townhall calls, RPMServes community service activities, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives.
  • Completes a final program assessment/evaluation with the Director of Engagement and SVP of HR.
  • Can commit to 9.5 week Summer Intern program from May 29th-August 2nd.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Human Resources, or other relevant college or university degree program.
  • Current college student – Junior year or entering senior year.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
