Position Summary: The Leasing Intern will show and lease apartments to prospective tenants by performing the following duties. The Leasing Intern position provides college and university students with an opportunity to learn the property management business onsite with a “host manager.” The program provides students with the foundation for a career path in the industry. Students who obtain their degree and complete the program as top performers will be considered for full-time opportunities. This program provides interns with exposure to every area of onsite property operations.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews prospective tenants and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
  • Accompanies prospects to apartments and discusses size and layout of rooms, available facilities, such as swimming pool and saunas, location of shopping centers, services available, and terms of leases.
  • Inspects condition of premises periodically and arranges necessary maintenance.
  • Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
  • Compiles listings of available rental property.
  • Composes newspaper advertisements.
  • Can commit to 9.5 week Summer Intern program from May 29th-August 2nd.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current college student – Junior year or entering senior year.
  • Current valid driver’s license.

 

Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and possessing a valid driver’s license.
